WHAT IS TOSI AI CONNECT?

Tosi AI Connect is built into Tosi Control, the management console for the Tosi platform. It connects supported AI tools to the live data the Tosi platform produces about your sites.

Ask questions in plain language or use AI to analyze activity across sites. Tosi AI Connect is read-only. It can retrieve and analyze authorized platform data, but it cannot send commands to a gateway, asset or OT network. Your organization runs the AI under its own account, controls what each integration can see and decides what action to take.

Tosi AI Connect currently works with AI tools that support remote MCP connections and API-key authentication. Your Tosi team can help confirm compatibility with the AI tool your organization uses.

AI CHANGES THE VALUE OF YOUR OT DATA

WHY?

Natural-language search is useful, especially for people who are not deeply trained on an OT platform. The larger value comes from analysis that would otherwise require multiple reports, exports, manual correlation and expert interpretation.

Can AI connect activity across sites?

Yes. AI can connect access history, assets, events and network activity to understand what happened at a site and across sites.

Can AI detect patterns and change?

Yes. AI compares activity across time and across remote locations to identify meaningful differences from normal behavior.

Can AI improve signal to noise?

Yes. AI can surface the sites, assets and events that warrant attention instead of requiring teams to inspect everything.

Can AI reconstruct activity and guide action?

Yes. AI can identify who connected, what was accessible and what happened before and after an outage or security event. Then it can create prioritized summaries and recommended next steps while keeping people in control of every decision.

HOW IT WORKS

Nothing is installed at your sites, and nothing changes inside your OT network.

01

Create an integration.

A Tosi Control administrator opens Settings, selects Integrations and creates a new integration with MCP as the type.

02

Choose what the AI can see.

You can give it every gateway and asset or limit it to the ones you name.

03

Copy your endpoint and key.

Tosi Control generates an endpoint URL and an API key. Store the key somewhere secure, such as a password manager.

04

Connect a supported AI tool.

Follow the AI tool’s MCP setup process using the generated endpoint and key.

05

Start with a meaningful question.

Ask the AI to analyze authorized Tosi data, such as which gateways changed status or which sites need attention.

BUILT SO YOU STAY IN CONTROL

Read-only access.

Your AI can query platform data, but no Tosi AI Connect tool can send a command to a gateway, an asset or the network

Administrator-issued keys.

Only a Tosi Control administrator can create an integration and its key, and keys can be set to expire.

Scoped data.

TEach integration can be limited to named gateways or assets.

Your AI, your policies.

You choose the AI tool and run it under your own account. Tosi doesn't supply or host a model.

People make the decisions.

Your AI reports what it finds, and your team decides what to do.

HERE'S WHAT YOUR AI ASSISTANT CAN DO

AI is only as valuable as the data behind it.

Tosi AI Connect gives AI access to five connected layers of operational context across distributed OT environments:

Where: Site location, gateway status, and connectivity health

What: Assets, plus the owner, function and criticality you assign

Who: Keys, clients and access groups

When: Access sessions, VPN activity and access audit logs

What Happened: Events, alerts, network behavior, and anomalies

Most OT platforms provide pieces of this information.  With Tosi Professional and Tosi Insight, Tosi connects all of it.

That allows AI to correlate activity across sites, understand what changed, identify unusual behavior, and prioritize what requires attention.

Example prompt: “Which of my sites need attention this week, and why?”

HIGH

Gateway TX-122 has been offline for 3.5 days. The last connection to the site occurred before the outage. Two other sites in the same region lost connectivity during the same window. Data used: Where • Who • When • What Happened

MEDIUM

A building controller is offline while the gateway remains online. Asset communications stopped shortly after a remote session from a contractor key. Data used: What • Who • When • What Happened

LOW

Three contractor keys have not connected to any site in 90 days. Consider whether they still need access. Data used: Who • When

Illustrative example based on Tosi’s demo environment.

WHAT'S INCLUDED

Tosi AI Connect is part of every Tosi platform subscription and works the same way at every level.

WHAT YOUR AI CAN QUERY

WITH TOSI STANDARD

Gateways, assets and events, including inventory, online status, WAN connection monitoring, devices going online and offline, and Tosi Control user activity such as logins and configuration changes.

WHAT YOUR AI CAN QUERY

WITH TOSI PROFESSIONAL AND ENTERPRISE

Additional events, including access logs and VPN usage. Tosi Hub comes with Professional and the Tosi Enterprise package. With Tosi Enterprise, you get Asset Management data, plus Vulnerability and Risk Management data.

WHAT YOUR AI CAN QUERY

WITH TOSI INSIGHT

Insight alerts, plus a companion connection to Insight's full data including top talkers, traffic volumes by device and behavioral findings.

START HERE

Good questions to start with. Questions use data from our Tosi subscription packages and from Tosi Insight (new software module).

Operations: “Which sites went offline overnight? Who was the last person connected to each one, and what changed beforehand?”

With Tosi Professional

Security: “A controller began behaving unusually. Who connected before the change, which key was used and did similar behavior occur at another site?”

With Tosi Professional + Insight

Compliance: "Which keys still have access to sites they have not connected to in 90 days?"

With Tosi Professional

Fleet analysis: “Which gateways show a meaningful change from their normal operating pattern?”

WIth Tosi Insight

Access review: “Which gateways can each key access, and where have those keys been used recently?”

With Tosi Professional

Change Detection: "Which remote sites have shown the biggest change in behavior during the last 30 days, what changed, and are there any common factors across those locations?"

With Tosi Insight

Incident Correlation: "For sites that experienced outages or unusual activity this week, who connected before the event, what changes were made, and were similar events observed at other locations?"

With Tosi Enterprise

Which AI tools work with Tosi AI Connect?

Today it works with AI tools that support remote MCP connections and API key authentication, such as Claude Desktop. Support for more AI tools is planned by the end of October, and your Tosi team can check whether yours works.
